DI PETSA brings Greek Mythology to London Fashion Week

Digital Fashion Editor, Eve Fitzpatrick

‘My Body is a Labyrinth’

Presenting a collection designed around the myth of Ariadne and Theseus, DI PETSA have sought to reframe the ancient tale, exploring the labyrinth within the self, where desire, loss and the search for love collide. The collection explores the divine power of female self-pleasure, the sensuality of faded summer memories, and the embrace of our darker selves.

The feeling of a sun-kissed summer is evoked through the ‘tan lines’ carefully drawn onto the bodies of the models. Coupled with this is the brand’s signature drapery, seemingly floating around from the cool summer breeze. Each piece of the collections couples the ordinary with the mythical, transporting us into the ethereal world built by the designer and her creative team.

This collection also marks a significant step for the brand, being its first to step its way into gender fluid menswear. The brand signature iconic Wetlook has been reimagined for the male form in a burst of pastel gradient hues. Wearable pieces such as hoodies and tracksuits compliment the more whimsical, floaty style of the brand.
